Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 15, 2026

FamOps ("we," "us," "the app") helps families coordinate their schedules. This policy explains what we access, how we use it, and your choices. We built this product to reduce stress for busy parents — protecting your data is core to that promise.

What we access

With your explicit permission, FamOps connects to your Google Calendar using read-only access (calendar.readonly).

We also collect your name and email (from Google Sign-In) to create your account, and the information you enter in the app: family members, driver assignments, packing lists, and activity details.

How we use it

Google user data — limited use

FamOps's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Calendar data only to provide user-facing features and never for advertising or any unrelated purpose.

Where your data is stored

App data is stored securely in Supabase (Postgres) with row-level security, so each household can access only its own data. Travel-time estimates use the Google Maps Platform.

Data retention & deletion

Security

All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), access is scoped per household, and we request the minimum Google scope necessary (read-only calendar).

Children's privacy

FamOps is for parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children; information about children is entered by the parent.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll post the new date above and notify you in-app of material changes.
